A Day in the Life of the University of Pretoria. 08 May 1981

On this “Day in the life of the University of Pretoria” the UP Drama Department presented 'Romeao en Jeanette' – a production by the French dramatist Jean Anouilh in the Lier Theatre.

The Lier and Masker theatres originally formed part of the Christian Brothers’ College (CBC) and were acquired by the University in 1968. The theatres are used for Drama Department productions.  The Lier was upgraded in 2001 and is an intimate theatre which seats 80 people. The theatres also incorporates a sound studio for the production of voice-overs, advertisements and soundtracks.
