Miss World and Tuks Alumna, Anneline Kriel visited UP on 14 August 1981. This "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" started with RadioTuks and the student newspaper, Die Perdeby, interviewing the former Miss South Africa.

Anneline Kriel studied drama at the University of Pretoria and was crowned Miss World in 1974. Die Perdeby highlighted her experiences as a resident of Asterhof and as Tukkies Rag queen.
