A Day in the Life of the University of Pretoria. 25 September 1987

On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the Arnold Theiler Building  was opened on the Onderstepoort Campus.

The building was inaugurated by the State President, P.W. Botha, in 1987.  The Arnold Theiler Building consists of offices for the deanery and faculty administration, a library, museum,  cafeteria, cloakrooms, several auditoriums and a microscope lecture hall.  The cost of the building amounted to R5, 45 million. The building was named after the father of Veterinary Science in South Africa, Sir Arnold Theiler, who was also the first Dean of the Faculty.
