On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the student newspaper the Perdeby celebrated the achievements of Tuks’ Rugby star Clayton Blommetjies.

Blommetjies’ professional ruby career started in 2006 when as a 15 year old player he was selected to play for Boland in the Coca Cola Grant Khomo week in 2006. In 201 he was recruited by TuksRuby. This young star was named the Back that Rocks for being the best back of the 2012 Varsity Cup Season. The September 2012 issue of the Perdeby, reports that Blommetjie continued to excel in the 2012 season and that he was the first Varsity Cup player to represent the Springboks at the Rugby World Cup.
