1947-tour was very successful . The university team won their matches 3-0 against the local teams in Mariental and also 3-0 in Windhoek. Tukkies also won 4-6 against Otjiwarongo and 8-0 against Omaruru and 9-6 against Usakos. Against Damaraland in Windhoek the score was tied 6-6. Unfortunately, Tukkies was unable to beat the local teams at Keetmanshoop and Korasburg. They lost 0-6 and 6-8 respectively. The article, featured above, explains that this was most likely because the team was exhausted after traveling long distance to reach the match venues.

The University of Pretoria (UPA) preserves the history of the University of Pretoria.
