A day in the life at the University of Pretoria. 12 March 1971

Parking is always a problem on campus and this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" was no different.

In 1971 the student newspaper Die Perdeby published a cartoon depicting the students’s parking struggles and frustrations. At this time UP open a new parking area on the east campus for students.  The old parking area behind Theology building was closed for vehicles, only allowing bicycles and motor cycles there. Despite the new addition, as evident from the cartoon, on campus parking was still inadequate.
