On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the student newspaper, Die Perdeby reported on the success of the peddle car tradition in South Africa and at the university.

The article (featured above) reported that there is a growing interest in the sport and that even female students are starting to peddle now. At a recent competition in Durban Tuks entered 40 cars including teams from Occupational therapy, B.Cur, Erika, Physiotherapy, Jasmyn  and Madelief.
