28 November 1907: Public lecture by the Transvaal University College (T.U.C). This evening in the "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" ended  with a lecture by Prof. John Purves at the Mining Lecture hall in Plein Square.

The advertisement in the Rand Daily Mail (featured above) explained that prof. Purves will discuss Dante and the Arts. The lecture was “very fully illustrated with lantern slides”.
