25 November 1949: Tukkies on tour. On this “Day in the life of the University of Pretoria” students left for a European tour.

The article in Die Perdeby, featured above, detailed the customised European tour for students. This included special prices on watches, suede jackets, glass ware, cameras and perfume. International tours were popular November and December holiday activities during this time.
