A day in the life at the University of Pretoria.18 August 1950

18 August 1950. (New) UP blazers available! On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the student newspaper the Perdeby announced that the UP blazer, Alumni blazer, rugby jersey and socks as well as the UP tie and honorary blazers were finally available to buy at Grant Mackenzie.

The Perdeby (featured below) highlights how the 1950 rector Mr. Bag Cilliers and members of the student council were treated to a formal dinner to receive the blazers. The evening ended with the guests being treated to cigars.
