A day in the life of the University of Pretoria-13 August 1948

13 August 1948: Rhodes sports venue set the scene for mixed double clashes between Tukkies and Wits tennis teams. This "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" ended in a spectacular draw between the two sides.

The student newspaper the Perdeby (featured below) mentioned that theses matches were played by: Celestine Haumann; Lynette Loxton; Gabriel Sweeney; Valerie Voster; Sophie de Waal; Bas du Toit; Frikkie Us; Howard Lawrence; Genn van Velden; Tucker Vorster; Gerry Olivier; Eddie Blignaut.
