AmaTuks Going up with the 2

Posted on December 02, 2009

Friday of action at Tuks, AmaTuks knew the pressure they were facing. With the weather changing and opponents on the field, the mighty AmaTuks faced their music.

Though Dynamos were given penalty in the 2nd minute of the game AmaTuks never lost hope. From the corner kick specialist of the day, Thulani Notyhawe kicked it to the box and the ball nearly got out but Phinda Dlamini made no mistake but to level the score. Later in the middle of the first half, AmaTuks got another corner kick where Notyhawe swung it again to find captain’s head, Oberd Moyo to give a comfortable lead of 2 – 1.

From the rest, no goal was seen though AmaTuks were seen with more crosses challenging the opposition’s goal keeper. Clinching a win over the log leader, AmaTuks gained a hike from a chilling position to the 5th position. Steve Barker, AmaTuks coach outlined the importance of sustaining the win in the next weekend.  “It will be nicer if we could collect points and be able to challenge the top log position” AmaTuks will be traveling to Ackerville Stadium to play Witbank Spurs on Sunday.

The Team Manager, Graham Oosthuis is confident that they’ll come back with a win. “I’m confident that this time we are going to bring a second win to add our hike on the log” said the confident manager.
