TuksRugby Club is proud to offer students the opportunity to enjoy Rugby at every level. Whether you're at the top of your game, an aspiring young player or want to play for fun, our programmes offer you the chance to maximise your development through an extensive support package

 

Varsity Cup

Varsity cup is a tournament between the top eight universities in South Africa. Players need to be a registered member of the club and be a registered Bona Fide student at one the respective universities to qualify to play in this tournament. Tuks Teams competing in the Varsity Cup are UP- Tuks 1 & The Young Guns (u/20).

USSA

USSA is a tournament between the South Africa Universities.  Players need to be registered members of the club and be a registered student at the university, to qualify to play in this tournament.  Tuks teams competing at USSA tournaments are the Men’s 15, Men’s 7’s & Women’s 7’s.

Varsity Sport

Varsity Sport is a 7’s Rugby tournament between the top ten universities in South Africa. Players need to be a registered member of the club and be a Bona Fide student at the respective university, to qualify to play in this tournament.  Tuks teams are the Men 7’s & Women 7’s. 

Carlton Cup & Volcano League

Carlton cup is a local open club league played under the Blue Bulls Rugby Union. Volcano League is an interprovincial club league played between the Blue Bulls, Valke and Leopards Rugby Union. 
Players don’t need to be a registered student but must be a registered member at the club, to qualify to play in this tournament.  The Tuks Teams competing are UP- Tuks 1, Tuks – Fezalas, Tuks – Youth/Jeug team, the u/20 – Young Guns & the u/20 – Pumas. 

Franchise League

The Franchise League is an internal league within the University of Pretoria. Players need to register under a specific franchise, to qualify to play in this tournament. Registering also means the player must a registered member of the club.  Tuks has a 1st teams League, 2nd teams League & u/20 teams League.
