Postgraduate Journey

The postgraduate journey will provide you with information to ensure a successful completion of your postgraduate studies.

A place to call home

UP provides postgraduate accommodation for approximately 1,200 students, but due to limited space, it is important to apply early.

...

PLEASE NOTE: Applications for postgraduate residences open in March for prospective students and at the start of the second semester for current students. Only those applying for or enrolled in a postgraduate study programme can apply.

Prospective students can indicate their interest in residences during their initial application, while current students can apply through the UP Student Portal. Placement is not guaranteed, as demand exceeds availability, and all applicants are placed on a waiting list.

Postgraduate residences offer single-room facilities with shared common areas, and limited bachelor units are available.

...

PLEASE NOTE: If you have specific accommodation needs due to a disability, please indicate this during the application process, and the UP Disability Unit and Department of Residence Affairs and Accommodation will work together to accommodate you.

Private accredited accommodation is also an option, as the University cannot guarantee residence placement due to high demand.
