In a world where numerous services have transitioned online, higher education should be no exception. The University of Pretoria has embraced this idea by introducing a range of fully online accredited programmes through its UPOnline initiative.

Our fully online teaching model sets us apart from traditional offerings. With six intakes per year instead of the usual January intake, you can typically begin your first module within two months of applying. You will complete one module at a time, unlike the parallel offering of multiple modules. Each module is delivered in eight or 16-week blocks and features continuous assessment. By the end of the designated period, you will have completed the entire module, including its summative assessments.

Notably, you only pay for the module you are currently studying, making it more affordable for employed students. Despite these differences, one thing remains constant: graduates of our fully online programmes receive a fully accredited academic qualification from the University of Pretoria, standing on par with any face-to-face UP graduate.
