The Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the University of Pretoria offers training to undergraduate medical students who wish to pursue their studies and obtain a MBChB degree as well as to postgraduate students who are registered for the MMed and MD degrees. Refresher courses are also presented for general practitioners and the Department of Otorhinolaryngology also hosts specialised workshops for qualified Otorhinolaryngologists.

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology now offers 1 year fellowship programme in Head and Neck Surgery and Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery.
