Prof Abba Gumel, an Extraordinary Professor from the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, was elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)
The AAAS, whose mission is to: Advance Science, Engineering and Innovation throughout the world for the benefit of all. Advance Science, Serving Society, is the largest, and perhaps the most prestigious, general scientific society in the world. The AAAS is also the publisher of the prestigious Science family of journals.
We congratulate Prof Gumel for being elected among the eminent scientists in this year's class of AAAS Fellows.
