The 2019 ASSA South African Mathematics Team Competition (formerly known as the Southern African Inter-provincial Mathematics Olympiad) was held on Saturday 7 September 2019. This is a high school mathematics olympiad competition in which teams from across Southern Africa compete against each other in team format. The University of Pretoria entered six teams on behalf of the Gauteng North region. Our best performing junior (grades 8 and 9) team ranked 12th out of 54 teams, and our best performing senior (grades 10 to 12) team ranked 8th out of 48 teams in the country.
