After a successful year of fun and inclusive cultural events, Luminous Day House accumulated a total of five awards from the Committee of Student Culture, otherwise known as STUKU.
Thanks to the hard work of our internal culture EC, Evan Barnes, we were awarded 2nd place in Best Social Event of 2025 (photo 1 - top left), 3rd place in Cultural Internal Overall (photo 2 - top right), as well as 4th place in Cultural Showcase 2025 (photo 3 - middle left).
Our Archives and Records EC, Bao Le, has also ensured us the 3rd place prize for Best Host in Archives 2025 (photo 4 - middle right).
Along with all these amazing achievements earned by our executive committee members, one of our house members, Jnr-Justice Mdhluli, earned 7th place as Top Speaker for Debate 2025 (photos 5 & 6 - bottom left & right).
These achievements could not have been earned without all the hard work they put in, and they truly continue to shine Luminous’s light brightly in everything they do.
