Mrs Juanita Haug is the Guardian for the Luminous Day House and is the Operational Coordinator at the Department of Psychology, within the Faculty of Humanities. She completed her Master’s in Communication Management at UP in 2019.
Mrs Haug is humble, caring and passionate. She plans on imparting her knowledge and skills to empower, support and guide the Executive Committee of Luminous to the best of her ability.
She’s a believer that, “Respect is earned, Honesty is appreciated, Trust is gained, and Loyalty is returned” (Nishan Panwar), and wants to make use of this to drive Luminous to be the number one Day House at Tuks. She does not allow the “modern world” influences to change who she is and believes that integrity is not something you show others, but what you do behind their backs is what matters.
She guides the Executive Committee and House Members, provides support and acts as a parent for the Day House. She is affectionately known as Mama-J amongst the EC and members of Luminous.
