Q1: How do you see the role of human resource management, industrial and organisational psychology and labour relations change with the COVID-19 crisis?
In every aspect of HR, there are many changes due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but the biggest change lies in us adapting to the 4th industrial revolution measures, such as working remotely and taking self responsibility.
Q2: What did you learn during your 2019 study year that has influenced you most?
Definitely time management and to accept things the way they happen. It always seems so wrong in the moment, but at the end it is all worth it!
Q3: What is your definition of academic success?
Being content with where you are and what you have accomplished and not measuring your success and achievements against other people's success.
Q4: Any tips for fellow students to achieve academic success?
Take it all in and embrace the opportunity you have to study and better yourself. Think of the reason why you started in the beginning, and where you still want to be a few years from now!
Q5: What single message (a quote/motto/paragraph) would you want more people to know and remember?
"So wear your strongest posture now, and see your hardest times as more than just the times you fell but a range of mountains you learned to climb."
‘TAKE 5 with...' is a campaign by the Department of Human Resource Management to feature 2019’s academic achievers. The purpose of the campaign is firstly to honour the students by showcasing them and their achievements online, and also to give other students and members of academia and industry an insight into their ideas and the keys to their success. Each profile is made up of a short description of the candidate, followed by their answers to five questions we posed to them.
