The Masters in Project Management empowers graduates to apply scientific thinking and advanced interdisciplinary skills to manage projects over the project life-cycle.
Viewing projects as temporary endeavours, the programme facilitates learning of the fundamentals of project management to enable learners to identify, develop, implement and close projects. Apart from the core project management modules, the programme also views projects as strategic initiatives with modules considering the environment, people and the realisation of benefits.
The MPM empowers graduates to apply scientific thinking and advanced interdisciplinary skills to manage projects over the project life-cycle.
The program is designed so that upon completion, students will achieve the following academic outcomes:
AccreditationThe Graduate School of Technology Management is registered at the Project Management Institute, USA, as a Global Education Provider. The Masters Programme in Project Management (MPM) received international accreditation from the PMI in 2008 and is the only project management master’s degree course on the African Continent that is accredited by the GAC (Global Accreditation Center) of the Project Management Institute (USA). The MPM programme has also been accredited by the South African Council for Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP). |
