2019 Pretoria Student Law Review now available

The Faculty of Law at the University of Pretoria announces with pride that its 2019 Pretoria Student Law Review (PSLR) is available online.

We wish to thank the Editorial Board, and all contributors to this law research journal – for students, by students.

In her foreword, Editor-in-Chief Primrose Kurasha acknowledges the contributions ‘by the exceptional team of Editors who committed to making this a quality publication, backing and forthing with the authors and reviewers’, thanking Thato Maruapula, Mzwandile Ngidi and Frieda Shifotoka.

Topics inter alia include ‘Should the flag fit, or must we acquit?’ by Nicholas Herd, ‘The role of law and governance in advancing climate resilience and climate justice’ by Otitoola Olufuolajimi, ‘Restoring electricity use with the spoliation remedy: A critical comment on Eskom Holdings Soc Ltd v Masina’ by Dr Gustav Muller in the Department of Private Law of the University of Pretoria, to ‘Prescription: the present interpretation of extinctive prescription and the acquisition of real rights’, by Celinhlanhla Magubane.

What makes the 2019 PSLR edition even more special is the fact that it is tributed to former Dean André Boraine, whose second term concluded in October 2019.

We welcome contributions to the PSLR on pretoriastudentlawreview@gmail.com.
