Welcome to the Equine Clinic at OVAH​​. 
The Equine Clinic provides a comprehensive first and referral service for local owners and veterinarians, catering for all aspects of horse healthcare. The Equine Clinic is always on hand, providing 24/7 service for all clients and veterinarians. The core tasks of the equine veterinarians include teaching, research and providing a clinical service. We provide well-rounded clinical-teaching programme of a high standard, as well as top-level veterinary care thanks to the specialists in the fields of equine medicine, surgery, anaesthesiology and theriogenology, as well as our extensive purpose-built facilities. Our ambulatory service provides core health care to surrounding communities.

Veterinary education

Our academic personnel are involved in undergraduate and postgraduate training, as well as continuing education for practitioners, Our teaching model includes hybrid and case-based learning, practical’s and small-group teaching. We offer a medicine residency training programme (MMedVet) approved by the European college of equine internal medicine; we also offer a surgical residency training programme (MMedVet).
