One of the students enrolled for the compulsory undergraduate module, Community-based Project Module (code: JCP), of the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology assisted Grade 12-learners with Mathematics and Science at Bunny Khosa High School in Bushbuckridge Rural, Mpumalanga. The module entails that students have to work at least 40 hours in the community and thereafter reflect on their experiences through various online assignments, a presentation, report as well as a YouTube. Louis Chabangu (BEng - Electrical Engineering) indicated afterwards that the project made him realise the importance of helping others. He reflected that he felt better about himself when he helped others he is also helped himself. The most important thing that he enjoyed when helping the learners was that he gave the learner different ideas and ways to solve or approach mathematics problems. The principal of the school was very impressed with the way Louis managed the learners.
