In academia, the connection between theory and practice often materialises in community projects through service learning. From April to September 2023, second-year EBIT students undertook community engagement projects, resulting in around 350 initiatives across Gauteng and the North-West. These projects, led by our EBIT students in collaboration with their community partners, demonstrated the power of applied knowledge in transforming communities. The overall community partners' feedback highlighted our students' commitment and skill in these initiatives.
Among many impressive efforts, fifteen projects stood out for their innovation, impact, and teamwork. Here are the Top 15 projects that highlight the outstanding work of our exceptional students!
