JCP-students assisted at a Wolf Sanctuary

Posted on April 17, 2017

Students enrolled for the compulsory undergraduate module, Community-based Project (JCP) of the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology assisted the past recess at the Husky and Romi Wolf Sanctuary in Reitz, Free Sate. The JCP-module students have been working at the Husky and Romi Wolf Sanctuary from 2007. It is one of the most popular projects in the module.

Two groups work on the site this past recess. They built a new shade and house for the wolves in one of the enclosures. They also fixed up the houses in two other enclosures and helped the owner Larry Paul with some electrical wiring.

The students found it a challenging but enjoyable project. The feedback from the owner was very positive with regard to the work ethic of the students.
