Posted on June 16, 2010

A group of JCP-students – the compulsory undergraduate course of the Faculty Engineering, Built-Environment and Information Technology, did their field work at Precious Pearls Shelter in Mear Street, Sunnyside. They are, Lentswe Kgwathisi, Lunga Lukhozi, Goodwil Mahlalela, Meluse Malatshi, T Mogorosi, Nigel Phuthi and D Nyathi.

Their group leader, Lunga Lukhozi an electrical engineering student indicated:

“On behalf of my group, we would like to thank everyone for the chance to prove that we are capable of helping others. We did our project at Precious Pearls Shelter. We fixed the ceilings, door handles, leaking pipes, the toilet, did the garden and also played with the kids with the remaining time we had. We had a wonderful time there and it felt good helping and sharing what we can offer, after all, sharing is caring.”

We want to thank the group for making a difference!
