JCP-students helped SOS Children's home in Mamelodi

Posted on June 23, 2010

A group of IT-students enrolled for the compulsory undergraduate course, Community-based Project (JCP) of the Faculty Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology decided to do their fieldwork at SOS-children’s Home in Mamelodi. There are 162 children at the children’s Home. The students had to repaint a room and realised that it is really hard work. They are Tshabang Chali, Maria Moate, M.N.Makatola and O.R.Ngobeni. Students enrolled for the JCP-module have to do at least 40 hours in the community.  Thereafter they reflect on their experiences in the form of a blog report and a presentation to the lecture responsible for the module.
