JCP-students also do career guidance

Posted on July 11, 2010

The Faculty Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology (EBIT) organises twice a year a week where learners from schools are introduced to the different courses presented by the Faculty. The learners stay in the hostels and attend various lectures from the different departments. They also visit an industry of the choice. These weeks are organised by Ms Emily Mathe from the marketing sector of the Faculty with the assistance of old JCP-students. Forty students enrolled for the compulsory undergraduate course, Community-Based Project Module (JCP), assist in with this project as mentors. During July more than 230 learners  attended the EBIT week. JCP-students enjoyed this project. The only complain: “We did not get any sleep!”
