Sandpits also projects for engineers

A group of engineering students decided to upgrade the sandpit at Sunnyside primary school as part of their fieldwork for the compulsory undergraduate module, Community-Based Project. The students, Vhutshilo Rambevha, Lutendo Gethe, Lutendo Nevhutalu, Nkhangweni Masiagwala, Takalani Siobo and Khuthadzo Mbulaheni all from Venda, enjoyed the experience. The principal of the school, Marietjie Engelbrecht reported that students were enthusiastic and positive about their project. This project is only one of the 432 projects in which students from the faculty made an impact on communities in Gauteng and across the country.
