Students enrolled for the Community Engagement Module (JCP) of the Faculty Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology that worked at the National Zoological Gardens (Zoo) in Pretoria fixed the giraffe's hoist feeder. The group Melanie Bester, Johann de Wall, Marinus de Jager, Gideon Venter, Alwyn Lamberti and Daniel Crowley also repaired the shower for the elephant. Students from the JCP-module have been working at the Zoo since 2006. This year there are 32 projects registered at the National Zoological gardens making it one of the most important partners of the module.
