Faculty Day 2021 - UP Community Oriented Primary Care Research Unit and Research Centre for Maternal, Fetal, Newborn and Child Health Care Strategies

Posted on August 24, 2021

The Faculty Research Day hosted by the Faculty of Health Sciences provides a platform for researchers, post- and undergraduate students to showcase their research findings to inform debate on research that contributes towards better health and is relevant in addressing the needs of people, healthcare and society.

The theme of the event for this year is “Reimagining research in health sciences”. This year our Faculty Day Research event is taking on the form of an online event, hosted on a platform that facilitates interaction in a virtual environment. With this programme each of the Schools will facilitate a session, presenting the transdisciplinary and innovative research being conducted. This will be complemented by lively discussions in the format of themed panel sessions.

Both the UP Community Oriented Primary Care Research Unit and UP/SAMRC Research Centre for Maternal, Fetal, Newborn and Child Health Care Strategies directors; Prof Jannie Hugo and Prof Ute Feucht, were part of the panel discussion to talk through Research Transformation - Practice Through Scientific Collaboration.
