The Chartered Accountancy (CA) students of the University of Pretoria have once again delivered an exceptional performance in the January 2017 Initial Test of Competence (ITC) of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), with a first-time writer pass rate of 89,3%.

This year's edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject was published on 8 March 2017. The University of Pretoria has been ranked first in South Africa for Accounting and Finance, and placed in the 151–200 band (the top 4% of all participating institutions worldwide).
