Dr Malose Makhubela: Researcher of the Year (2016) for the Cluster: Applied Social Sciences

Dr Malose Makhubela form the Department of Psychology presenting at Humanities Day on Thursday, 08 September 2016.  He is the Cluster for Applied Social Science winner for the Researcher of the Year Award.
 
Title of his presentation:
"Understanding death fascination in South Africa: The structure and measurement of the Death Obsession Scale"
 
Malose Makhubela is a practicing clinical psychologist and a staff member in the Department of Psychology. He is currently the programme coordinator for MA Clinical Psychology training and is involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. He reads and writes in the areas spanning psychological assessment, personality theory, psychopathology and psychotherapy. His research has appeared in several accredited local and international journals. He has conducted developmental research and authored technical reports for some developmental agencies (USAID, PACT-SA, GTZ) and the South African government.
