The cool off period is a designated break for all members to rest, recharge, and reflect after a busy season.
In line with the tradition observed on the 18th of July each year, where individuals dedicate 67 minutes of their time to giving back to the community, we have decided to take a step further. This year, we are excited to transform the concept into a full week of community service on and outside campus, allowing us to make a deeper and more lasting impact. With support from our RAG partners, the SRC and other externals, we look forward to a week full of reaching out and giving.
The Kagiso Training dives deep into what it truly means to engage with communities respectfully and effectively. Across two enriching sessions, participants explore both the relational side of community work and the historical and social complexities of South Africa. In addition, it teaches the importance of community engagement.
