Scientists at the University of Pretoria Centre for Sustainable Malaria Control   (UPSMC)  commemorated World Malaria Day in an effort to raise awareness for the fight against malaria. The Centre is made up of a multidisciplinary group of scientists that focus their expertise on contributing new knowledge to support sustainable malaria control.

Malaria is currently under control in South Africa, but this control is fragile, and we will only be able to ensure a malaria-free South Africa with continued concerted efforts. With the motto of World Malaria day as: ‘Sustain gains, save lives: Invest in Malaria’, the University is supporting efforts towards sustainable malaria control.
