In a letter addressed to the City Council, the Students Representative Council requested that the Sunnyside municipal bus service be extended to pass the Hatfield Campus. By the early 1970s UP introduced its own campus bus service to assist with transport between its various campuses and residences. This bus service also helped ease the parking problems on the campus.
