A Day in the Life of the University of Pretoria. 19 September 2011

On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" an article entitled "UP degrees most forged in SA" appeared in the Perdeby student newspaper.

According to the article the number of people who illegitimately claimed to have obtained a qualification from UP has increased. A number of unaccredited institutions were involved and had resulted in the removal of 1400 paramedics from the Health Professions Council of SA. In an effort to verify degrees potential employers now had to make use of a Qualification Verification Service to verify the qualifications of candidates.
