The Perdeby (article featured above) reported that the coat of arms for Agriculture was designed by Gerrie de Jongh. It symbolized an animal, plant and science with the words “Agricultura” at the top of the coat of arms and was worn on a dark blue blazer. Only third year students and Alumni of the Faculty were allowed to  wear the blazer.

The University of Pretoria Archives (UPA) preserves the history of the University of Pretoria. The UPA has an extensive photo and yearbook collection. The UPA also has a complete print collection of the Perdeby (PDBY). Please contact us on [email protected] to share your memories of Tukkies or access our collection.
