On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Prof Cheryl de la Rey officially opened the Campus Fitness Trail.

The Campus Fitness trail is a marked pathway on the Hatfield Campus that provides staff and students with an open-air or “green” gym, where one can enjoy a healthy lifestyle in a safe environment. It consists of three routes, each marked with a distinct symbol in the shape of an animal spoor - the red spoor representing ng the red lechwe antelope; a yellow spoor representing the steenbok, and lion spoor marking alternative routes that offer additional cardio-vascular benefit.

The University of Pretoria Archives (UPA) preserves the history of the University of Pretoria. The UPA has an extensive photo collection and clipping collection that focuses on staff and student accomplishments, this includes copies of the Tukkievaria as featured here. Please contact us on [email protected] to share your memories of Tukkies or to access our collection.
