A day in the life at the University of Pretoria. 03 October 2008

On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the Department of Architecture’s Virtual Campus was launched.

Over the years the Department of Architecture has received collections, drawings and documents from various prominent architects. To make this material available to its students and staff, the department created a bibliographic database by indexing both architecture journals, building plans and slides from its archives. In 2008 a Virtual Campus project was initiated by the Department of Architecture to model all the buildings on the University's Hatfield Campus. For this project, UP Architecture students created digitally models of the buildings on the campus. This project culminated in a detailed repository that is accessible through the UP library’s institutional repository.

The University of Pretoria Archives (UPA) preserves the history of the University of Pretoria. The UPA has an extensive photo collection and clipping collection that focuses on staff and student accomplishments, this includes copies of the Tukkievaria as featured here.
