A day in the life at the University of Pretoria. 21 September 2011

Posted on September 21, 2022

On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" UP’s Science Centre, SCI-Enza, celebrated the International Day of Peace by folding 1000 origami birds.

Tukkievaria, September 2011, p. 12

According to Japanese legend, a person would receive one wish when they fold 1000 paper cranes.  UP students and staff as well school children who visited the center helped to fold and hang the origami art from the Sci-Enza roof on this day.

The University of Pretoria Archives (UPA) preserves the history of the University of Pretoria. The UPA has an extensive photo collection and clipping collection in our holdings that focuses on staff and student accomplishments.
