On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" UP celebrated its 16^th art festival.

The celebrations with two concerts by the UP orchestra in the Aula. The student newspaper, the Perdeby  reported on the events of the festival and the article thereof is featured above During the festival on 8 March the famous Hungarian violin player, Gyӧrgy Pauk played piece from Viatli, Beethoven Schubert and Bach. Ingemar Bergfelt accompanied him on the piano.
