A day in the life at the University of Pretoria. 02 February 1982

On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the female residence, Magrietjie opened its door for the first time.

The student newspaper, as featured above, reported that 100 seniors and 240 first year would be moving into the new residence. Brian Sandrock designed the new residence. The residence was officially opened on 26 March 1982. Today the residence is known as House Mags and houses more than 330 ladies.

The UPA preserves the history of the University of Pretoria.
