On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the Dutch Reformed Church in South Africa joined the University of Pretoria’s Faculty of Theology, forming Section B of the Faculty. Section A, the Netherdutch Reformed Church (Section A) was part of the Faculty of Theology since 1917.

25 years later, as featured in the article above, Prof. Rautenbach, opened the silver jubilee of the Faculty. He praised the Faculty for the work it was doing amongst students, staff and in the community.  In 1951, the Faculty officially opened the Theology Building on the Hatfield campus. This building still houses the Faculty and is now known as Faculty of Theology and Religion
