On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" staff members and students from the Centre for Augmentative and Alternative Communication presented research findings at the ENT/SAAA/SASHLA Congress in Durban.
Papers presented on this day included Prof J Bornman’s keynote address entitled “The role of AAC in ensuring equal access to justice for persons with severe communication disabilities: A case discussion”. Dr S Dada also presented a paper entitled “An Auto‐ethnographic Exploration: Postgraduate research supervision.” A student from the centre, Miss R Morwane, exhibited a poster entitled “Shared storybook reading interactions between Sotho‐speaking pre‐schoolers with complex communication needs and their primary caregivers”.
