In a letter to the paper the female students explained how difficult students find it to dress fashionably for class. Students argued that life would be more enjoyable and cheaper if they could wear a uniform. According to the letter, as featured above, some students felt that a uniform would also foster a feeling of belonging and UP pride. The writer felt that female students should help in designing a Tukkie uniform. She also stressed that any potential uniform should also allow for some personalization and creativity.
