A day in the life at the University of Pretoria. 14 September 1973

On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the student newspaper the Perdeby reported on the Tukkie female hockey team’s success on the field.

According to the article, as featured above, the team beat the Quins 1-0 at the final 1973 league match. This put the Tukkie team fourth in the league. During this tournament they won 1 match, lost four and tied two games. After the July holidays the team however improved their games. This resulted in them winning five matches and only losing two.  The article also congratulated Tukkie Karin de Villiers for scoring the final winning goal.
