On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the university celebrated spring day.

The student newspaper the Perdeby, published the full spring day program, featured above. The program was presented on the Hillcrest Campus (then L. C. de Villiers Campus). It included the competition and crowning of the Spring Queen. A range of sporting activities also took place on this day including long distance running, soccer, tennis, gymnastic and basketball.

The UPA preserves the history of the University of Pretoria.
